Some forewarning...this could be an incredibly long post. I had one amazing WEEKEND!!!
I prepared all week for my family to come! I cleaned, washed clothes, baked, washed sheets, dusted, vacuumed the house, vacuumed my car, made all 4 beds in my apartment, cleaned my bathroom like its never been done before all in anticipation of my family to come!!! I even made my mom ooo and aahh as I gave her a tour of my amazing cleaning job. Props to my roommates to who helped me with this as well.
My parents arrived first. I might have waited like a lost little puppy at the front door waiting them to turn the corner. We went out do dinner at Cattlemans. So delicious, and I was a very good girl and ate very healthy. We came back to the apartment and awaited the arrival of my grandparents, my brother, and Nate. They got here safely and brought everything into the house. We chatted and just enjoyed each others company. I was just so excited to have everyone I love all in one place, not to mention, my place!
Saturday started out absolutely amazing. I got up early and went to WW, where I lost 5.6 lbs!!!! which makes a total of 11 lbs, which is my 5% goal. I was so excited, starting to feel like my hard work is paying off.
We then went to the Capitol and wondered around there, and showed our Minnesotan friend what the capitol of SD is all about...:) From there we headed to the ARCHERY RANGE!!!! My mom brought her bow and arrows along. It was a lot of fun. If anybody wants to give me a bow, I would love to take it off your hands.
Saturday night was PARTY NIGHT. Well, my kind of party I guess. We ordered Pizza Hut, and went to DQ to get an Ice Cream Cake! I also got to open my presents!!! I was very excited for my presents this year, my mom did a very good job of getting me stuff that I really like, sometimes she's not so good at this.
From my parents I received:
1. a cardigan from Eddie Bauer. I was going to show you a picture of it, but I cant find it on the website. I picked it out, so therefore I LOVE IT.
2. I also got a Scentsy!!! with tons of great smells! I was going to show you a picture of it, but I can't find my specific warmer my momma picked out for me. She got me about 10 different scents to go with it!
3. I also got a heated blanket for my for my colder basement bedroom. It is beautiful, brick red mi color favorita!
My grandparents gave me money to go shopping at Eddie Bauer, and some super cute Halloween decorations.
My brother wrote me a song about my terrible driving and bike riding skills...it was quite funny.
Nate made me a CD full of Michael Jackson music...my least favorite singer. I also got a retirement card, and a ticket to Footloose(highly recommend)!
Sunday the actual day I was born, we headed to church and then out for lunch. The Fam bam left from lunch, and I headed home to guess what... CLEAN for my roommates to arrive back at the apartment.
My Capitol City friends and I headed to my favorite restaurant for supper. My favorite restaurant is where you can eat my favorite meal~ FISH TACOS!!! MMmmm delicious. Good People, good food, what more can a girl ask for...

After dinner we went to Tim and Bethany's for dessert. Bethany is a wonderful cook and friend. She made 2 of my favorite things: popcorn cake, and caramel apples. After dessert, I was given more presents...have I mentioned how blessed I am? Janna gave me a beautiful hat and mitten set from Eddie Bauer, apparently my camo hunting gloves are not the most fashionable.
O How I am so Blessed
It is fun to have one day a year where you get to pick the restaurant, and have family come from miles to visit you. Only 363 more days till my next birthday. Thank you so much to everyone who made me feel like a princess this weekend. I do not know how God chose to put all of these amazing people in my life. I am so grateful to each of you that called, texted or even got share part of the weekend with me. You are the people who bless my life, you are the people in my prayers that I thank God for everyday.
P.S. no tears this year.
