So, here in this lovely town that I live in I am often deprived of live worship music. The praise band at the church I attend sings incredibly high, and I can't really sing with them. Many times I also am reminded of the early 90's worship music that my mom listened to that made me want to cringe. So, needless to say, I don't get to regularly sing my heart out to Jesus in church anymore. It is something I really miss. Don't worry, Jesus still gets to hear my lovely voice in my car.
Today, during the singing worship portion of church I got really hot, distracted by the pink carpet, and didn't know any of the words to any of the songs. Therefore, my ADD kicked in and I had to leave and get a drink of water, came back and I picked up the hymnal sitting in front of me. When I picked up the hymnal I was suddenly wishing that I were at my home church singing out of this very same book. Looking through the book I decided to refer the these songs as, the greatest HITS of ALL time. These are the songs that I have memorized and have an incredible place in my heart. Songs like: Come thou Font, and The Old Rugged Cross. O how I miss singing these powerful hymns.
From church, I headed to school to work on lessons plans. Me being the complete nerd that I am made a playlist on Grove Shark with many of THE GREATEST HITS OF ALL TIME. So great! If you get a chance make one of your own.
