Snow.

This is the view outside my apartment.

The 1st snow has come.  It started late last night and apparently continued through the night.  I woke up this morning to find at least 7 solid inches of snow on my car.  I am struggling to stay positive about this horrible thing that has happened in my life: Winter Arriving.

So I thought I would make a Pro and a Con List.

We will start with the Cons:
1. I don't get to go shopping in Rapid with the ladies.
2. I can not find my Uggs.  THIS IS PROBABLY THE MOST DEVASTATING THING ABOUT THIS FIRST SNOW.  This statement may sound superficial. Why does someone need $180 boots to make it through the winter?  Well, once you go there you will never go back.  There is something about them that keep you feet incredibly toasty, and make the winter more bearable.
3. Always having to wear my recess duty coat.
4. Recess Duty- Is just terrible in the winter.
5. Lack of Motivation,  In the winter all I want to do is curl up on the couch.  I don't want to go to the gym, work out, wear shorts... blah blah blah.

Now for the Pros:
1. It is pretty looking out at the snow covered evergreens.
2. This means Christmas is coming, and who doesn't love a White Christmas? Home with the fireplace,  nice warm tea, a blanket, my MOM, dad, and brother, the cute puppies snoring, Christmas tree in the window, and the Santa Rug.  I love Christmas at home with my family!
3. I get to wear my super cute new mittens and scarf from Janna. I look very cute, and it they are incredibly warm.

I might have to add to these lists later as they come to me...but as of right now it looks as if the Cons are winning out.  5 months till April, but we must live for the day.

We can not wish for the future.  God gives us all seasons to do His work. He gives us this time to be thankful for the things that matter most in life- Him, Family, and Friends.  I believe in Christmas, and the magic that it brings.

I have been struggling with the idea of the holidays this year, since their will be changes.  I have to remind myself that changes are not bad, change is good.  We get to welcome someone new into our Family traditions, and maybe even make some new traditions.  The Man upstairs has an incredible plan for us, and we have to remember that He makes all things beautiful and good.  Romans 8:28- And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
...and you can have fun in the snow.
